Angel Biscuits

5 c unsifted all purpose flour
1/4 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 c shortening
1 package yeast
2 tbs warm water
2 c buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add with buttermilk to dry mixture. Mix well. Turn onto a lightly floured board. Add flour if necessary and roll to 1/4 " thick. Cut in 2" rounds. Dip each round in melted oleo and fold for pocketbook rolls. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
Don't knead too much. If refrigerated, start in a cold oven. Makes LOTS.
