Makes 3 half pints
Fig Preserves 1
2 lb figs
3 c sugar
1 c water
8 lemon slices
Soak figs for 20 minutes. Make syrup by boiling sugar and water. When
syrup is clear and slightly thick (about 15 minutes) add figs and
lemon slices. Bring to boil. Boil 1 minute. Lower heat and simmer for
30 minutes.
