Makes about 200 cookies
Fruitcake Cookies 2
1/2 c Oleo
1 c brown sugar
4 eggs (separated)
3 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp allspice
4 tsp grape juice
3 tsp baking soda dissolved in 3 tbs buttermilk
1 lb dates
1 lb canned cherries
1 lb canned pineapple
1 box white raisins
6 c pecans
Cream Oleo and sugar. Add egg yolks. Add 2 c flour (sifted) to creamed
mix, alternating with grape juice and buttermilk. Pour batter over nuts
and fruits mix. Beat egg whites and fold in. Drop by teaspoons on
greased cookie sheet. Cook at 300° for about 15 minutes.
