Deep Dish Pear Pie
4 medium pears, halved (2 lbs)
1 tbs lemon juice
3 tbs flour
1 c sugar
salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbs oleo
cheese pastry
Pastry
1 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 c shortening
1/4 c cheese
2-3 tbs water
Place pears in 1 1/2 quart dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix
flour, sugar, salt, spices. Sprinkle over pears. Dot with oleo.
Cover with cheese pastry. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
