Easy Crust Apple Pie

6 c sliced apples
1 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 c sugar
1 1/2 c biscuit mix, divided
3/4 c milk
2 eggs
2 tbs butter or margarine
1/2 c chopped pecans
1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
3 tbs butter or margarine

Combine apples and spices in a large bowl; place in a greased 9-inch pieplate. Combine sugar, 1/2 c biscuit mix, milk, eggs, and 2 tbs butter; beat until smooth, and pour over apples.
Combine remaining 1 cup biscuit mix, pecans, brown sugar, and 3 tbs butter; sprinkle overe apples. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.
