Pecan Tarts

3/4 c firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tbs margarine
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 c pecans, chopped
Cream Cheese Patty Shells

Combine first 6 ingredients in a small saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until mixture is melted and well blended. Fill each patty shell 1/2 full with filling. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

Cream Cheese Patty Shells
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c margarine, softened
1 c all-purpose flour

Combine cream cheese and margarine; cream until smooth. Add flour, mixing well. Refrigerate dough at least 2 hours.
Shape dough into 15 balls; put each ball into a greased 1 3/4-inch muffin tin, and shape into a shell.
